Suzette Stoutenburg, PhD

CodeX Senior Advisor

Dr. Suzette Stoutenburg is a Senior Principal Engineer at The MITRE Corporation. With over 35 years of experience in systems engineering, data harmonization, and program management, Suzette is
passionate about applying advanced technology to build a healthier world by improving patient outcomes and advancing health equity. Currently, she serves as a strategic advisor to CodeX, a member-
driven community focused on convening physicians, health systems, pharmacists, researchers, and patients to develop and test health data standards to solve the most difficult problems in health at scale in the real world.

Throughout her career, Suzette established and led large-scale programs to integrate health systems and advance nationwide implementation of interoperable health IT infrastructures. She is dedicated to CodeX’s goal of enabling stakeholders to share patient information in meaningful ways, allowing them to work together to reduce costs, better coordinate patient care, and accelerate research, leading to improved and more equitable patient outcomes.

Suzette holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado, and a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Rowan University
