Be the Leader in Clinical Research Mobile Innovation

The success of clinical trials depends heavily on placing information in the hands of those who need it - patients and families, researchers, and referring physicians. Mobile applications offer an unprecedented opportunity to provide broad access to study information, yet not much development has been done in this space. 

The CI4CC & Forte Research Systems Rapid Innovation Challenge

To spur innovation in the area of mobile development, CI4CC & Forte are hosting the Rapid Innovation Challenge. It offers CI4CC members the chance to be the leader in mobile application development. Applications or sites that have already been developed for OnCore will also be considered.

How the challenge works:

1. Submit an abstract to the CI4CC panel of judges. Hannes Niedner, Samir Courdy, Frank Manion, Sorena Nadaf, & Shannon McWeeney. 
2. The panel will contact semi-finalists for a demonstration of the application/mobile site, coordinated by Hannes Niedner.
3. The CI4CC panel will select the top 3 finalists
4. The finalists will be invited to present to the OnCore community at the 2016 Fall Forte-sponsored Onsemble conference.
5. The Onsemble community will vote to determine the order of winners 

The prizes:

• 1st Prize: $5,000
• 2nd Prize: $3,000
• 3rd Prize: $2,000

Deadlines/Conditions for Submission: Deadline has passed.

• The challenge is open primarily to CI4CC / Forte Research membership. Other abstracts will be considered upon review.
• Abstracts must be submitted by July 1st, 2016.
• The semi-finalists must have the app or mobile site fully functional by August 1st, 2016, (to be presented to the CI4CC Judges remotely)
• The top 3 finalists must have the app or mobile site ready and publicly available by Fall 2016 Onsemble National Meeting, where the winners will be announced. (The developer must be willing to share the source code, so it can be used by other organizations.)
