Ci4CC Slack Channel Link, Overview, & Instructions

Ci4CC.SLACK.COM

Presently, Ci4CC is in the process of evaluating Slack for potential long-term use within the Society. We have introduced a Slack instance accessible to both members and non-members at no cost. This Slack platform is designed to enhance community interactions, providing members with a space to connect, communicate, discuss, and plan, surpassing the capabilities of our society's general email list-serve. We will actively migrate discussion threads from our Google Email List-Serve to our Ci4CC Slack Channels, particularly during ongoing valuable group discussions that involve any back-and-forth exchanges.

Slack offers features such as chat, audio and video calls (Huddles) for individual team members and for groups. It also provides targeted discussions in channels. If you're new to Slack, we enthusiastically recommend exploring the following tutorials to make the most of this collaborative platform.  We understand that many of you have never used Slack before and enthusiastically recommend the following tutorials:

  •  Welcome to Slack - An introduction

  •  How to find and start conversations

  •  How to join a channel

  •  How to use Huddles

  •  How to edit and delete messages

If you wish to join the Ci4CC Slack team, kindly send an email to slack@ci4cc.org, and we will send you an invitation to your inbox. If you prefer to sign up with an email different from the one you used initially, please specify the email address in the body of your email. Follow the instructions in the Slack invitation to complete the sign-up process on the website.

Once registered, you can access Slack through a web browser, although most users find it convenient to use the desktop client, available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Additionally, there are mobile applications for iOS and Android.
