Hackett is an executive leader with over 30 years of experience leading and managing research, clinical research, clinical operations and administration at major academic medical centers and private, non-profit research institutions. She was named the MECCC Deputy Director for Administration and Associate Vice President of Cancer Medicine at Montefiore Medicine in August 2021 to lead operations that translate discovery into new paradigms in clinical care and change public policy to drive health equity and access to care in the community. She brings expertise to integrate strategic planning across the cancer enterprise, utilize data analytics and informatics for decision support and program management. With her team, they nurture a diverse, inclusive and safe workplace for all through intentional employee engagement. Nationally, she is a member of a number of External Scientific Advisory Boards at both matrix and free-standing NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers, has participated in at least thirty NCI CCSG site visits and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. 

 

In her immediate prior position as COO at the Allen Institute, a private, non-profit research institute in Seattle, WA, she partnered with executives to lead the institute through the COVID-19 pandemic and co-developed its comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative. She also partnered with colleagues to integrate scientific strategy and planning efforts throughout administration and operations teams across the Institute. Previously, Hackett served for more than seven years as the executive director for administration and chief business officer at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) in Nashville, TN where the administrative team played an integral role in supporting the translation of discovery research into clinical practice and helped to transform VICC into one of the elite cancer centers in the U.S.
