Associate Director for Administration and Chief Administrative Officer

Alison Ivey serves as the Associate Director for Administration and Chief Administrative Officer for the UF Health Cancer Center. In this pivotal role, she orchestrates the center's multifaceted administrative and business operations encompassing clinical research, grants administration, finance, facilities and affiliate partnerships. Alison is also integrally involved in the maintenance of the center’s status as an NCI-designated cancer center. She is a key member of the Cancer Center’s senior leadership team and contributes to strategic planning and policy formation for the center. 


This role builds on her nearly 20 years of experience in health care, clinical research and administration. Prior to becoming chief administrator for the Cancer Center, Alison served for over 15 years in various leadership and clinical roles in clinical research settings. As Administrative Director for the UF Health Cancer Center’s Clinical Research Office, Alison spearheaded a significant restructuring and expansion of the office, including development of active early-phase and investigator-initiated trial units. 


Alison has a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology form the University of Florida, a Bachelor of Nursing from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Science in Clinical Research Management from Arizona State University and a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Data Analytics from Louisiana State – Shreveport. She is an active member of several professional groups and societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Oncology Nursing Society and the Society of Clinical Research Associates. She has held specialty certifications in both oncology nursing and clinical research for over 15 years.
