About

Welcome to the Cancer Informatics for Cancer Centers (CI4CC) interactive home. This is the nations premier professional society where Academic and Community Medical Centers, Corporate Professionals and many other subject matter experts in Biomedical Informatics, Clinical Trials, Precision Medicine, Healthcare-IT, Information Technology, and Pharmaceutical Industry come together to share there efforts in changing the world one megabyte at a time.. CI4CC is a nonprofit organization that provides a focused forum for clinical and academic focussed research informatics scientists. CI4CC is organized and lead by executive leaders volunteering from within the Academic and Clinical Cancer Center community, ... but we are not only about Cancer! Informatics and Technology is borderless and so are we.  We come together learn, share , and think outside the box, and we can only do it together with our partners from within the corporate community.

CI4CC is a nonprofit 501c3 organization intended to provide a focused national forum for engagement of senior Cancer Informatics leaders, primarily aimed at academic cancer centers anywhere in the world, but with a special emphasis on all 69 NCI-funded cancer centers. We seek to provide a focused forum for engagement of cancer informatics and technology leaders, currently aimed at academic cancer centers. Our intent is to expand to all other similar non NCI based organizations. While each of our cancer centers are structured differently and our titles vary, from Cancer Center CIO/CRIO/CMIO to Directors of Cancer Informatics Shared Resources and Programs, to Chairs of Departments and Schools, we know first hand there are similarities in both the issues we face and the solutions we achieve.

As a consortium, we have initiated a dedicated list serve, Open Initiatives program, and very targeted Cancer Center Informatics face to face meetings. These meetings focus on the strategic and pragmatic issues that face each of us as informatics leaders at our respective institutions and in our respective cancer centers. These meetings serve as a place to review our priorities and initiatives, and provide a forum to discuss as a community areas where we can all learn from each other. We know that these meetings are complementary to existing fora such as the BRIITE, AMIA, Global Alliance for Health and Genomics, ASHG, US-based CTSA Informatics annual meeting, and NCI NCIP meetings.

For our Corporate Sponsors and members of the commercial Informatics community: CI4CC welcomes the engagement of our corporate partners in support of our Cancer Informatics focused mission. CI4CC will provide upon request a sponsorship grid application for consideration with various levels of support. All sponsors require approval from the CI4CC board. In order to support the academic and research mission of our members, we pay special attention to our corporate collaborators engagement so our members have a balanced, informative, and productive experience. Please send your email requests to ci4cc@ci4cc.org. Please also go to the Sponsors Tab for further information.
