Conference Abstract

The 19th Cancer Informatics for Cancer Centers Symposium will return to the Estancia La Jolla in San Diego County, CA February 20-22, 2023.

The continuously changing field of precision medicine needs new innovations in data science to realize the potential of new findings to elucidate biological mechanisms of cancer evolution and maximize the impact of new therapies on response, on survivorship, while minimizing adverse outcomes and sequelae. This requires biomedical researchers and practicing clinicians with skills in quantitative sciences, as well as modern computing and data infrastructure to support research and implementation.

Precision Oncology is central to the theme for the 19th Cancer Informatics Workshop, with a focus to convene a diverse array of subject matter experts and stakeholders demonstrating applied models of precision medicine.

The Spring 2023 Cancer Informatics Society Symposium is entitled

“Data Science in Translational Medicine”

Chaired by Dr. Steve Rosen of City of Hope,

the symposium will focus on the following themes:

1.    Advances in Precision Medicine

2.    Advances in Cellular Therapies

3.    Integration of EHR’s in Precision Medicine

4.    Use & Impact of Standards on Translational Medicine
